About
A bit about who I am, what I've worked on, and what I care about.
I'm Khyrul Bashar (Jubayer) — a senior backend engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I've spent the last six years building Python-based systems across IoT automation, AI-powered SaaS, and industrial observability — from embedded device backends to LLM-orchestrated pipelines shipping to production in Tokyo.
My arc has gone from systems programming (GSoC at Apache Foundation) through IoT R&D leadership, into the Gen-AI/RAG space. I'm drawn to the intersection of reliable infrastructure and emerging AI capabilities — making sure the "magic" is actually grounded in systems that don't page you at 3 AM.
I care about observability, clean API contracts, and documentation that survives the original author leaving. Open to backend-heavy, SRE, and DevOps roles where those values matter.

Work History
Building an industrial observability platform (Kelda Dynamics project) — real-time telemetry ingestion, Prometheus/Grafana/Loki/Jaeger stack, FastAPI backend, and CI/CD via Jenkins.
Backend lead on a multi-tenant RAG SaaS platform. Designed document ingestion pipelines, semantic search over Qdrant, and LLM-orchestrated Q&A using OpenAI and Anthropic APIs.
Led R&D for IoT automation products. Designed MQTT-based device communication layers, built MLOps pipelines for predictive maintenance, and introduced observability practices across the engineering team.
Developed backend services for industrial IoT systems using Django and FastAPI. Integrated with hardware devices, built REST APIs for mobile and web clients, and managed AWS deployments.
Contributed a PDF debugger feature to Apache PDFBox as part of Google Summer of Code. Worked with the open-source Java codebase under mentorship from the PDFBox committers.
